The Scenic Route
Combined, the release traces a visual and thematic descent: From the sun-lit cliffs of the mountainside, down into fungal depths, to a lonely island on a subterranean lake and culminating within a grand lair.
Every map has a scenery to capture its flair, a battlemap to fight and explore on and several handouts to illustrate the details!
The Entry
Hall 1
Tunnels
Hall 2

The following three maps can be used separately or can be used to illustrate the descend from the overworld into a fantastic, yet hostile underworld:
Gorge Exit - Gorge Bridge - Gorge
Mushroom Forest
Lake Island
Lake
Camp
Combat Arena
It covers a full range of tones and playstyles, from exploration and survival to calm introspection or high-pressure combat. The entire environment can also be reinterpreted as a submerged cave system — a ruin or gateway at the ocean floor.
Combine with other Beneos releases

The Modular Cave connects directly to several other Beneos maps, so you can expand your underworld as far as you like.
It links naturally to the Underdark Bridge, the Ruined Underdark City (Release 70), the Crystal Cave (Release 1), the Goblin City (Release 95; one of my (Leon) favorites), and the Modular Sewer (Release 97).
All of them share the same visual language and lighting system, so when you combine them, it feels like one coherent subterranean world instead of a patchwork of maps.
Release Poll - Which of the unreleased Curse of Strahd–compatible homebrew locations from the world map would you like to see first?
If you want to weigh in on the next release, feel free to leave your mark on our current poll:
BENEOS SEARCH ENGINE
We have so many battle maps, intros, magic items, tokens, and custom spells that we have our own search engine. It is integrated into the Beneos module for Foundry VTT, but can also be used free of charge online to see everything we have.

If you are a Beneos Tokens, Spells and Loot Patron, you can populate the caves with all kinds of creepy crawlies!
Each creature is designed to meaningfully interact with its environments and their foreshadowing events included within their immersive integration can save you a ton of work for bringing these areas to life!
This map set works beautifully with a range of Beneos Tokens - Ghoul Bone-Gnawers, Wretchlings or Garghouls might emerge from the looming chasms, the fungal forests are perfect hunting grounds for Gloomspore Harvesters or Spore Shepherds, while the island and surrounding waters may teem with Gargling Headtakers, Moray Drake or house a Klabautermann!
New Champion: Corrupted Champion

A super versatile creature that fits into almost any setting and enriches every encounter with its mere presence! In the video, I go into how “champions” make encounters cooler and what makes the Corrupted Champion so special.
New Encounter: Giant Mantis Bride & Consort

The two embody my ideal of an "encounter in a bottle" perfectly: just throw them onto the battlefield and a narrative layer will unfold all on its own. I hope you enjoy this feminist icon, and you can already look forward to the upcoming Loyalty release, as it’s going to be massive again. I can't help myself.
New Loyalty Token: Bileblood Tyrant

This is the first of the new batch of Loyalty Tokens, each one reimagined versions of D&D’s most iconic monsters—built to be dynamic, centerpiece encounters. If you want, you could help choose future targets via polls or a monthly raffle (awaiting your feedback regarding this!
New Spells: Raise Grave-Guard, Armored Sanctum, Unmake & Crypt Mist

I always lament the lack of cool necromancy spells in core D&D, making it extremely difficult to play a cool Necromancer - a flavour of character I immensely enjoy. I already made a whole bunch of Necromancy spells, but here's a few more. For example:
Unmake
If you wan't an alternative to the classic finger of death or don't want to look up how des disinte disintigrate is spelled everytime you want to carve out a large chunk of hit points out of something, unmake is the spell for you. I don't want to spoil too much, but its nasty.
Playtest Wizard Subclass: Necromancer
I'm currently working on a few classes/subclasses, hopefully to be released in the not tooooo distant future. If you are interested in helping me playtest things like a cool Necromancer Subclass for the Wizard, the Oath of Excess for the Paladin or the all-new Deteriorator Class ("Making the world a worse place, one dice roll at a time!"), hit me (again, Leon) up!

Better production pipeline = shorter release times
As you can see with this video, we have reorganized our work. Leon and Fernando are assisting me with the videos and the Foundry VTT setup, allowing me to focus entirely on creating maps. We're still in a transitionary period, but glimpsing into the future, there should be a significantly shorter release cycle for Beneos Battlemaps releases. - Ben
