LORE

Bone Hags abhor civilization’s ever expanding need for greater cities and more farmland. They regard each village as nothing but a malign growth with the potential to mutate into a tumorous city if left unchecked. As they draw strength from their bindings to the bones of the earth, the very essence of the primordial titans who gave up their bodies to create room for earthbound life, they require earth and stone untouched by tools or stone craft, violently subduing any outside attempts to encroach on their domains.

ABILITIES

The Bone Hag continually confronts the players with new horrors, turning the whole battlefield upside down to slay her foes. The Hag transforms the terrain, she can create barriers and kill boxes, herd the players into a place of her choosing and then bury them alive. There is nowhere to run from the Bone Hag, as her influence permeates the very ground the players walk upon, with jagged ridges and nightmarish bone spires erupting anywhere they go. They need to overcome the Hag’s Primordial Pact, sever her connection to the ground and endure the barrage of hexes, curses and bones she throws at them. The Bone Hag can easily take on a whole party by herself, but like all boss encounters, she profits massively from minions and a multi-layered, evolving encounter to keep it engaging.
