New Spells: Last Ditch, Lucky Charm, Hearty Brew, Mirror Strike

Lucky Charm lets you enchant any trinket, coin, or keepsake with a touch of magical fortune. Roll a d4 to find out what your lucky number is, and whenever that number comes up on a d20, you get to roll again. That's pretty neat, because numbers found on the d4 usually suck eggs when encountered on a d20. Make sure to keep your lucky charm close at hand though, because lady luck does not gaze favourably upon those who are careless with her keepsakes.
Hearty Brew turns any drink into a field-expedient restorative that would make a dwarven Battle-Brewer proud. With a cost efficient bonus action to cast, it infuses a tankard, flask, or bowl of soup with magical vitality that shakes off minor ailments, fortifies the body against cold and fear, and tops up the recipient's reserves with a generous helping of temporary hit points. Especially in the middle of a campaign through frozen wilderness, you'll be glad someone brought the thermos.
Mirror Strike lets a caster think with portals on behalf of their more martially inclined allies. As your fighter swings at the shimmering mirror you conjure in front of them, their attack actually comes through a second mirror you've placed anywhere within 60 feet — and hits whatever is standing next to it. The mirrors stick around for the whole turn, so every attack in a full Extra Attack sequence can be redirected. Cast on a Reaction, it lets you adapt your tactics on the fly, as someone who thought themselves safe from an axe to the face will find out what happens when martials and spellcasters throw their differences aside and cooperate.
Last Ditch conjures a reinforced earthen trench on the ground for a fortified position on the go. Allied creatures inside get three-quarters cover against attacks from outside the trench, enemy forces slogging through the interior find themselves slowed by magical mud. Especially useful for a proper trench, magical clouds roll right over the top without filling it. A level 3 spell slot is a steep price to pay, BUT it requires no concentration — which means you can cast it at the start of a fight, jump in, and then get your hands dirty rather then hiding to maintain your precious precious concentration.
Overall, it’s a cool selection of spells that you can use to freshen up your players’ spellbooks, give your monsters some neat extra abilities, or enhance items of your choice. Everything is fully integrated and available to all patrons!
