With the Bleak Reef Talisman, you can briefly transform yourself into an undead creature, which comes with a lot of advantages and one small drawback. Mechanically it’s pretty practical — a few extra resistances and the ability to pop back up to 1 HP after being knocked out — but it also creates great cinematic moments: not needing to breathe opens up all kinds of mobility tricks, and it certainly looks cool when your own face suddenly collapses into a withered skull and you breathe salty grave-air at your opponent…
Iron Chin Talisman
The Iron Chin Talisman is far simpler, as you shrug off a particularly devastating hit, wipe your chin, and grin through bloody teeth. Iron Chin is one of the signature abilities of the Gutterfists (and if you haven’t tried them yet, you absolutely should: these bare-knuckle close-combat specialists can make even fully armored opponents break a sweat)!
Conqueror's Crown & Crownbreaker's Defiance
Both the Conqueror’s Crown and Crownbreaker’s Defiance are based on the Crownbreaker Arch-Wyvern, one of our Loyalty Tokens. The Crownbreaker loves nothing more than dominating other apex predators, and it does so mostly by barging into fights and relentlessly attacking both sides. Each item embodies one aspect of this creature, and the flashiest is definitely the ability to intimidate a creature so hard that it forgets to use a lair action…
