New Spells: New Spells: Blunten the Edge, Dramatic Send-Off, Cloud Oubliette & Hellthorn Brambles

Blunten the Edge curses a metal weapon to deal way less damage than it originally would. You can either use it on a the spears of a spike trap that you have spotted or attempt to mitigate the damage output of a particularily hardy foe, however if you try and curse a weapon that is currently held, its wielder can make a Charisma saving throw to prevent you ruining its fun.
Dramatic Send-Off it has been a while since my last necromancy spell and we simple can't have that. This one is a genre classic, as it allows you to blow up a corpse or skeleton within range. The size of the explosion, as well as the damage, depends on the size of the object, so carrying around that decaying whale corpse is finally worth it, despite what all the others say. You can even blow up your own shambling undead!
Cloud Oubliette allows you to imprison a creature of any size within a cozy cloud, causing it to be blinded and restrained. If another creature walks by, lightning strikes from the cloud, dealing damage to both the imprisoned creature as well as the one just strolling by.
Last but not least, Hellthorn Brambles summons a thicket of coiling vines made from infernal iron. Creatures that are restrained within suffer damage should they try to escape, and the vines lash at creatures getting to close to them, attempting to dragging them into the thicket as well.
Overall, it’s a cool selection of spells that you can use to freshen up your players’ spellbooks, give your monsters some neat extra abilities, or enhance items of your choice. Everything is fully integrated and available to all patrons!
