Roadside Attraction: The Wandering Emporium
To fix your gaze on the horizon is folly. What you can make out rarely reflects reality, and more often than not, roaring stormfronts of hell-dust obscure the view entirely. But not today. Today, the vague outlines of civilisation take shape: the unfamiliar, colourful forms of tents against the jagged landscape of the wastelands.
By fate or fortune, you have stumbled upon the Wandering Emporium.

We leaned heavily into the wagon fort aesthetic for the emporium, an outer circle of hellish machinery fortifying the center full of tents, traders, and shops. this really showcases the improvised and mobile nature, making it realistic for this whole setpiece to kind of just show up anywhere in your campaign as am extremely reusable hub.

As always, this pack plugs effortlessly into some releases you already own.
If you're running Descent into Avernus, this is an atmospheric cut that will have your players gasping for air. No amount of foreshadowing or rumour can prepare them for the contrast between the hellscape outside and the comfort within.
But, and this matters, while these maps work perfectly as a continuation of the Wandering Emporium, none of them are bound to Avernus. They stand entirely on their own.
ALL IN ALL:
-
1x HUGE Animated Battlemaps + its respective sceneries
-
Immersive, custom ambient audio tracks tailored to the location

Let's take a detailed look at this hellish heap!

Well, thats it.
The Wandering Emporium is a single, enormous map of the mobile trading post that makes its way through the wastes of Avernus, mostly constructed around repurposed infernal war machines.
We made a deliberate choice here to incentive your players to explore the whole place as one continuous, sprawling location.
Still, three points of interest that deserve special mention.

The Forge
First, there's an open forge where infernal iron is worked. Safe to say your players will constantly be looking for opportunities to buy and sell weapons and armour, to pursue upgrades, or to get the idea of turning a profit themselves from all the bizarre constructions of the hellwrights and forge devils. Either way, a useful location to have fully visualised.
The Ichor Farm
Demonic ichor for sale here, sourced from guaranteed ethically unobjectionable extraction from happy demons with plenty of outdoor time. Demonic ichor has various applications in Avernus, from vehicle fuel to performance-enhancing drugs. This location offers plenty of angles for all kinds of quests revolving around this weird but central resource of the local economy.
You can spot the pen in the upper left of the map, where a pack of demon dog is happily providing willing customers with ichor.

Mahadi's Tent
At the centre of the Emporium stands the tent of Mahadi, the de facto leader of the Emporium; a rakshasa devious even by the low standards of their kind. Inside the tent is a portal you can step through to reach a lavish tavern done up in an oriental style, which we're releasing separately alongside the Emporium. Check out the accompanying post!
Temple of Excess: Majili's Oriental Tavern

An opulent, deeply luxurious complex that exists in complete contrast to everything around it.

There's also a bunch of maggots, mages and one moody hobgoblin.

Important News - Beneos Streaming is coming
This applies only to Foundry VTT users.
If you haven't, check out this post about how your life continues to become easier because you are supporting Beneos.
Streaming is a new way to use your content for VTTs. Beneos Shop costumers or active patrons have unrestricted access, no limits or throttling.

Because content is streamed instead of uploaded, we can bring Beneos maps to other browser based virtual tabletops. A Roll20 integration is in the works, and it does not touch your Roll20 storage quota at all. The same goes for Owlbear Rodeo and AboveVTT. We'll share more when we have more to show.
Check out the aforementioned post for more details!

Gone are days of navigating Google Drive or Moulinette. If you are using Foundry VTT, you can import the Foundry Tier content straight through our updated module. If you want to download the files, you can do so from our website, beneos-battlemaps.com.
Create a Beneos Cloud Account using the same email adress for your Patreon Account and you will be automatically verified within minutes and can download your zip files from our cloud.

A lot of changes have been made to the cloud, to the module, to the whole Beneos ecosystem. There is a whole different post detailing all the changes we have made, that you can (any probably should, because its super cool) check out here!
There's also a detailed FAQ that will bring you up to speed!
