Your personal Inferno: Modular Hellish Landscape

Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, Doom, they are filled with visions of places so unapologetically awful, that they inspire you to pick up pen and paper and start conceptualising your very own vision of hell. This “create your own inferno”-mindset is what we were chasing when we built the Modular Hellish Landscape.

*Cracked earth baking under a sky the colour of a hemorrhaging wound.*

*Basked in that kind of ash-choked light, that exists only in mockery of a true sun’s loving rays.*

*Fire everywhere, raining from the sky, tearing at the scorched shores or manifesting as blazing pillars raging across the plains.*

*This, your players realize, this is hell.*

Every map in this archive was designed from the ground up to work across multiple settings. The extreme heat landscape can be used to showcase different planets in a sci fi setting, the ash fields don't care whether they were left by a volcanic eruption, a meteor strike, or the fallout of an infernal incursion.

Like our many other modular map packs, this is a toolkit - in this case for you to visit the worst places in the multiverse.

*A map like this cave entrance is a versatile setpiece, you can use it as a background for a resting scene.*

There are also more specific maps highlighting different kinds of corrupted, hostile terrain. Maps 7 and 8 are the Caustic Bog.

There is so much lava.

Actually, several maps worth of lava.

There are also forests made out of bone bramble.

There is acid rain.

And even a fire tornado!
